The Artist Graeme Payne
My wife Helen and I, currently live at Seelands 15kms northwest of Grafton.
I have worked as a fulltime artist since leaving school in Grafton, having previously held my first one-man exhibition at the age of 15. I was fortunate to receive the advice and encouragement from many people at an early age but my only formal training was a brief term at the Royal Art Society in Sydney. I enjoy producing a wide range of work, including caricatures, believing that it is important to pursue every creative idea that presents itself without placing any preconceived limits on myself.
Surrounded by gardens, the Seelands Studio Gallery attached to our house presents a constantly changing collection of works including wildlife studies, landscapes, figurative compositions, historically based works, sculptures and surreal fantasies.
We are opened most days and welcome anyone wishing to browse although it is wise to phone ahead to confirm your visit.
